Summit Hotel is set directly on its private beach for guests only, equipped with parasols, sun loungers, a beachfront café, and free Wi-Fi.

Rooms at the Summit are cool and comfortable with air conditioning and decorative tiled floors. They also feature a laptop safe, minibar and a flat-screen TV with satellite channels.

Guests have free towels for the beach, where the parasols and sea board walk are all made from eco-friendly materials.

Breakfast is buffet style and Summit's restaurant is on the top floor and features a terrace overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. It serves international cuisine and Italian specialities.

Summit Hotel is 10 minutes' drive from the town of Sperlonga and is 5 km from the natural grotto of the Montagna Spaccata. At reception you can rent cars, organise boat excursions and deep sea fishing, and book taxis and private jet or helicopter transfers. Staff speaks Italian, English and Russian.

    Free beaches alternate with paid stabilimenti balneari. Might as well go for the paid option — maybe it was still off-season, but we got a nice chair and umbrella for €5 each.
